ACE Marquetry was founded in 1986 by Claire Englefield.
Claire began hand cutting marquetry when she was introduced to the luxury furniture world by her husband, the world renowned cabinet maker Alan Englefield. In 2000 Claire decided to move with the technological times and purchased a small laser to compliment the intricate hand work, as well as dealing with a vastly increasing demand. In 2005 a much larger laser was added to the team due to further demand & today includes a team of 6 highly skilled marquetarians, all trained in the complex aspects of marquetry manufacture.
Alan & Claire's daughter Bethan joined the team in 2012, after completing her design diploma at Central Saint Martin's, & since the sad passing of her beloved parents has continued their legacy with her passion for excellence, innovation and of course marquetry.
Since the beginning ACE has worked with the finest craftsmen and designers, including David Linley & Co. Ltd to produce truly exquisite pieces. ACE is proud of its heritage, consistency and capacity. ACE's work can be found on many decorative pieces of fine furniture all over the world.

It is very important to ACE marquetry to produce the finest quality marquetry, using the best materials and equipment alongside the skill of our team. We are very proud of our relationships with our clients and will do our utmost to ensure that their design criteria and deadlines are achieved, whether that is for a one off box lid layon or a large super yacht interior.
ACE Services
Although we are traditionally set up to produce wood marquetry, we are happy to use our lasers for other uses and materials where possible.
We also offer marquetry design, CAD drawing, etching, as well as MDF template cutting services.
